2nd Annual Comedy Show Fundraiser

The Vulcan Pioneers of New Jersey proudly hosted their 2nd Annual Comedy Show Fundraiser on May 9, 2025, at the historic Longshoreman’s Hall Local 1233 in Newark. The event brought together community members, supporters, and first responders for an evening filled with laughter and purpose.
Headlined by renowned comedians CJ Craxx and Isaiah Kelly, the show delivered a high-energy performance that captivated the crowd while supporting a meaningful cause. The night not only celebrated Black excellence in comedy and community leadership, but also served as a platform to raise awareness and funds for vital initiatives.
A portion of the proceeds benefited the Captain Wayne Brooks Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to honoring the legacy of Captain Wayne Brooks through scholarships, mentorship programs, and support for aspiring firefighters and underserved youth.
This successful evening reflected the Vulcan Pioneers’ ongoing mission to uplift the community through service, unity, and culturally rooted engagement.
